i couldn't resist... and then i realized i didn't want to...

about that one at the top... i was wondering... do you think my nose is crooked? i mean... i think one of my nostrils is deformed... i can't decide if it's cool on an individualistic level or offensive and strange on an asthetic one... any takers on that one?

i am so fucking in love....

with nature valley granola bars. seriously. you can't pry one out of my pudgy little hand. i'm tearing that shit up!
here are some more photos. i was spurred on by brandon's generous praise of the last post, and am shamelessly aspiring (by aspiring, i mean maneuvering, of course...) to receive more.
workity work work work. like 7 trainees this week. must've hit a hiring spurt. i'm so busy.
school is going ok. kinda boring classes this semester... and i ended up with physics. hope it'll help my gpa out, since i don't actually need the class to graduate anymore... that is if i do decide to drop my biology major, which i think i have totally made up my mind to do.
...we'll see...

{ps: these photos are from when bryan & i went to the zoo with our friends, gina & miguel... we got to see the baby panda...}

funky portraiture from 2004 (?)

some photos from when i had too much time on my hands... now i don't have any...
school starts back on tuesday.
the crime rates in knoxville are pretty high.
i'm fairly concerned.

i'm makin' cornbread and these bugs are makin' bacon! wink, wink, nudge, nudge...

i'm making cornbread this morning. last week i made bbq pork, pork roast, a beef roast, and roasted vegetables. neither bryan or i got sick, so i'm reckoning i'm doing alright. also made chicken florentine... but that came out of a bag. took 12 minutes to cook... was pretty tasty, too.
have been looking into apartments in knoxville. trying to plan ahead for the move. found a cute efficiency for 500$ a month.
i can't believe i only have 5-6 semesters left of school. i am SO excited. this semester, i'll be taking physics I and the lab, english II, and sociology. am looking forward to it. am sorry to not be in any bio classes this semester, though, because the natural sciences folks seem to have it so much more together than any of the others. sheesh.

with regard to your recent post, brandon.

crazy bitch...

well well well....
here we are again.
it's about 12:35 am and hot as hell in the city.
yesterday my car said 104 degrees, and friday it said 110. it's been wicked weather here.
we saw rush hour 3 this weekend with gina, miguel, craig, lisa, and rena... it was funnier than the first two. i was pleasantly suprised in fact.
also, i've done some rearrangements concerning school... might not be a bio major much longer. i've been spending the last 2 days learning the french dirty words. (merde, salope, and the like). i think i have an ingrown toenail. ouch.
some photos.

damselfly i found outside the college. he'd freshly molted, which is probably why he was such an excellent model. by excellent i mean still.
and yes. yes i did use the nikon coolpix 885. i love that little camera.

just me.

just me again.
who else, right?
self portrait.
i think it's kinda scary and rockabilly.

ruby falls... more disappointing than we were led to believe...

well, this is better late than never, i guess.
above are our photos from ruby falls... a few, anyways. in reference to the comment i made regarding disappointment, the main attraction of the cave is the waterfall. unfortunately, the chamber housing the falls is illuminated in colored lights, making it nigh impossible for a tourist to get a decent photo... of course, if i'd had my video camera, i might've walked away with an acceptable likeness. due to being on a shortish time limit while touring the cave, i was unable to get any good shots of the falls.
it was however, both fortunate and unfortunate that this cave was better lit than the lost sea cave (located in craighead caverns, in sweetwater)...unfortunate in that it lost some of it's authenticity, and fortunate in that it afforded much better snapshots of the formations.
bryan and i just got back from the simpsons movie. we went with our friend gina. gina and i thought it was great, but then matt groening is like unto a god to me... bryan got bored. gina did, however say she felt violated when we were given a money shot of bart's "doodle".
